In recent years we have been seeing more and more superhero movie remakes such as Spider-man, Superman, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Batman, and the list could go easily go on. Of course all of these movies were quickly followed by video game versions being released to various platforms. Some of these games turned out great…while others were nothing more than something you would expect to play on a Super Nintendo. However, this post is all about the new upcoming superhero games that look promising and so far pack quite a punch. I will go into a brief overview of the top 3 games revealing mainly basic information, and in my next few posts I will go into more detail with the games in individually. The Spider-man games were extremely fun…at first. After a few installments the series really began to go stale, and started to become fairly repetitive. The next installment though is said to breathe some fresh air into this series. Known as the “New Spider-Man”, the graphics are looking really nice…but the fresh gameplay is the only thing that has been put in question. The next game coming soon is The Incredible Hulk, which is going to be way cooler than any of the games in the past. I have read a lot about this game, and it will surely be a hit. It gives you a lot of freedom in the environment and that’s always a plus when dealing with games of this genre. The last but not least is of course Iron Man. This game is being released this month (May 2008), and so far it seems like the best superhero game we are going to see this year. I am hoping that these games spark some life into the superhero game genre, and are not just added to the bargain bin full of rushed games.
